The candidate will be informed in writing of the decision regarding the approval of their thesis. The fee for the process will be paid later.

To be eligible for the exam, a candidate must be a graduate of an identical or similar study program, such as a teaching program in the Russian language or a non-teaching program in the Russian language and literature. In the event of any ambiguity, the dean of the faculty will make the final decision.

The exam consists of an oral examination and a thesis defense. The oral examination covers either Russian linguistics or literary science, depending on the student's thesis topic. The second part of the oral examination covers either philosophy (for PhDr.) or didactics (for PaedDr.). The candidate may propose their own thesis topic, which will be submitted to the Commission for Post-graduate Studies for approval after approval from the thesis advisor.
